NEW HAVEN, Conn. - On Saturday, the Wesleyan Cardinals Men's Indoor Track and Field program competed at the Yale Invitational hosted by Yale University in New Haven.

Senior Agbon Edomwonyi  was the highest finishing non-Div.I athlete ( 15th place ) in the Shot Put at 13.49m and (15th place) in the Weight Throw at 14.07m. Freshman Andrew McCracken cleared opening height in his 1st college trackmeet to finish in 10th place at 4.05m. Competing in the 1000m run against Div.I opponents Sophomore Austin Dillon and Sophmore Colon Mahoney finished 11th place in 2:42.85 and 15th place in 2:48.00 respectively.

The Wesleyan Cardinals track athletes used this competition and the experience as an indicator of their readiness for this season.

Each year many of the top programs in New England ( mostly NCAA Div.I ) use the "Yale Invitational" meet as their opening meet of the indoor season. This provides strong competition early in the season for athletes and teams alike. There were strong performances for the Cardinals, and the enthusiasm and confidence shown by all team members will serve to be a foundation for a strong indoor track season.
