Cardinals Finish Seventh at Amherst Spring Fling

AMHERST, Mass. - The Wesleyan University men's track and field team competed in the Amherst Invitational on Saturday and finished seventh overall in the meet.


  • RESULT: 7th place
  • LOCATION: Amherst College
  • TOP-THREE: WPI, Coast Guard, Amherst


  • Drew Trotman '18 took home third place in the 200 meter run, crossing the line with a time of 22.83.
  • In the 800 meter run, Will Dudek '17 took home seventh place with a time of 1:57.24.
  • Freshman Joshua Signore finished in eight with a time 15:43.44 in the 5000 meter run.
  • The 4x400 team made up of sophomores Albert Fang, Trotman, Colin Mahoney and Austin Dhillon, crossed the finish line in second place with a time of 3:29.09.


  • Agbon Edomwonyi '16 captured first place in the discus throw with a throw of 42.87m. He also finished in second place in the hammer throw with a mark of 47.93m.
  • Andrew McCracken '19 took second place in the pole vault event, clearing 4.25m.
  • Freshman Olaniyi Adebayo took home fifth place in the shot put event with a makr of 11.86m.


  • The Cardinals will return to the track on Friday April 15 as they will compete in the two-day Connecticut College Invitational.
