  • Osborn and Quintana of Women’s Crew Named All-Americans
    July 11, 2019
    Sarah Osborn and Allison Quintana of Wesleyan women’s crew have been named All-Americans by the Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association (CRCA). Osborn was named to the First Team, while Quintana earned Second Team laurels. In all, only 18 athletes in Division III earned the prestigious honor.

    The fifth-ranked Wesleyan University women's crew earned an at-large bid to the 2019 NCAA Division III Rowing Championships, which will be held May 31-June 1 at the Indianapolis Rowing Center in Indianapolis, Ind. with Indiana University and the Indiana Sports Corporation serving as hosts.
  • Women’s Crew Places Fourth in Varsity 8 at NIRC

    Wesleyan women’s crew competed at the National Invitational Rowing Championship, in conjunction with the NESCAC Rowing Championships, on Sunday at Lake Quinsigamond in Worcester, Mass. The Cardinals’ Third Varsity 8 boat won the Petite Final, while the Varsity 8 qualified for the Grand Final to take fourth while placing second in the NESCAC’s behind Bates.
  • Wesleyan Rowing to Compete for NESCAC Championship Sunday

    The Wesleyan men’s and women’s rowing teams will compete for the 2019 NESCAC Rowing Championships Sunday, May 12, which will be held at Lake Quinsigamond in Worcester, Mass. The NESCAC Championship is awarded based on performance in the first varsity eight grand final race at the National Invitational Rowing Championship (NIRC).

    MEDFORD, Mass. – The No. 7 Wesleyan women’s crew team competed against No. 1 Bates, No. 12 Tufts and No. 6 Wellesley on Saturday morning. The Varsity 8 and the second V8 advanced to the championship after triumphing over Wellesley in head-to-head with, but both boats fell in the championship to No. 1 Bates.

    MIDDLETOWN, Conn. – The Wesleyan women’s crew team opened the spring season at home hosting Coast Guard. The Varsity 8 boat (Nicole Rizzuto [coxswain], Olivia Pearson, Ciara Basbbott-Ward, Allison Quintana, Rachelle Flowers, Lydia Paddock, Hannah Xu, Emma Porrazzo and Sarah Osborn) completed the 2,000m course in 7:02.0 to earn first-place, while the Bears were crossed the finish line in 7:33.6.
