Women's Golf Opens Inaugural Season at Mt. Holyoke Invitational

SOUTH HADLEY, Mass. – The Wesleyan women's golf team opened its inaugural season this weekend at the Mount Holyoke Invitational at The Orchards Golf Club and finished 12th overall in the 17-team field.

Williams won the tournament by shooting 23-over par, followed by New York University and Middlebury.


  • Alexis Banquer led the way for the Cardinals as she competed both days and finished in 84th-place with a two-day score of 233.
  • Meg Wiley carded 12 strokes higher and finished 85th overall.
  • Saadia Naeem only competed on Sunday and shot a 114.


  • Wesleyan is back in action next weekend as it will compete in the two-day Middlebury Invitational at the Ralph Myhre Golf Course beginning on Saturday, Sept. 28.
