    The NESCAC is brimming with talented student-athletes. The NESCAC "Friday Feature" series is a way for fans to get to know them throughout the academic year. The conference introduces Allegra Grant of Wesleyan, an Earth and Environmental science major, and a member of the women's ice hockey and lacrosse teams.
  • Women’s Hockey Downs Plymouth State 4-2 in 2019 Finale

    MIDDLETOWN, Conn. – The Wesleyan women’s hockey team closed out 2019 with a 4-2 victory over Plymouth State (3-7) on Saturday afternoon. With the win, the Cardinals improve to 4-3 overall and have won all seven meetings against the Panthers. Wesleyan has been led by a breakout performance from Audrey McMahon, as the sophomore has scored a conference-leading seven goals.
  • Wesleyan Drops Home Game to Saint Anselm

    MIDDLETOWN, Conn. – The Wesleyan women’s hockey team (3-3) dropped a non-conference bout 5-2 to Saint Anselm on Friday evening. The loss snapped the Cardinals three-game win streak, while the Hawks (10-3) tallied their seventh-straight victory.
  • Strong Start Lifts Cardinals Past Rams 3-1

    MIDDLETOWN, Conn. – The Wesleyan women’s hockey team (3-2-0) scored three times in the opening frame, lifting the Cardinals past Suffolk 3-1 on Sunday afternoon. With the victory, Wesleyan extends its win streak to three, including a two-game sweep over the Rams (2-7-2). 
  • Cardinals Cruise Past Suffolk 5-1

    BOSTON, Mass. – The Wesleyan women’s hockey team cruised to a 5-1 victory at Suffolk on Saturday evening. The meeting was the first between the Cardinals and the Rams, as the two teams will play again tomorrow. With the victory, Wesleyan improves to 2-2-0, while Suffolk falls to 2-6-2.
  • Wesleyan Edges Salve Regina in Home Opener

    MIDDLETOWN, Conn. – The Wesleyan women’s hockey team (1-2-0) edged Salve Regina 3-2 in its home opener on Tuesday evening. The Seahawks (1-6-0) scored twice in the third to cut the deficit to one, but Wesleyan was able to hang on to earn its first win of the season. It was the 14th meeting between the two teams, as the Cardinals extended their win streak to four-straight against the Seahawks to knot the series at seven victories apiece.   
  • Women’s Hockey Drops Road Contest at Bowdoin

    BRUNSWICK, Maine – The Wesleyan women’s hockey team (0-2-0, 0-2-0) fell 4-1 to Bowdoin (2-0-0, 2-0-0) on Saturday afternoon in its second game of the weekend series.  
  • Women’s Hockey Suffers 4-3 OT Loss at Bowdoin in Season Opener

    BRUNSWICK, Maine – The Wesleyan women’s hockey team (0-1-0. 0-1-0) suffered a 4-3 overtime loss at Bowdoin (1-0-0, 1-0-0) in its season opener on Friday evening. The teams will square off again tomorrow in the second game of the series at 3:00 p.m.
  • Women’s Hockey Earns AHCA All-American Scholar Awards

    MIDDLETOWN, Conn. – Eleven members of the Wesleyan women’s ice hockey team were tabbed All-American Scholars by the American Hockey Coaches Association (AHCA) earlier this month. The organization recognizes varsity ice hockey players who attained a 3.6 GPA each semester and participated in 40% of their school’s games in the 2018-19 season.
