Tyler Hansen

Tyler Hansen is in his first season serving as an assistant coach with track & field program in 2024-25. Hansen was a two-time All-American and four-time NCAA qualifier in his four-year undergraduate career at Springfield College while he went on to serve as an assistant coach at Susquehanna from 2022-24, helping lead the Hawks to seven Landmark Conference titles.
 
In his two seasons at Susquehanna, the River Hawks won seven team championships at the Landmark Conference Championship meet including four with the men’s program and three for the women, including the first women’s outdoor championship in team history. He was part of three Landmark Coaching Staffs of the Year in his two-year career at Susquehanna. Hansen primarily worked with the sprinters and relay groups, while assisting with horizontal jumps and serving as the team’s strength and conditioning coach.
 
While an undergrad at Springfield, Hansen was a six-year member of the track & field team with the Pride, qualifying for four NCAA Division III Championship meets. He earned indoor All-American honors in the 200m and another All-American nod in the 4x100m outdoor. Hansen earned NEWMAC Rookie of the Year honors in 2017 and was the NEWMAC Athlete of the Year in 2019.
 
He earned his bachelor’s degree in applied exercise science in 2020 and went on to earn a Master of Science in athletic administration from Springfield in 2023.
