NORFOLK, Va. – Zoe Kerrich '18 of the Wesleyan University women's swimming & diving team has been named a College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) Scholar All-America Honorable Mention. The selections were drawn from 247 colleges and universities.
The honor marks the first for Kerrich, who excelled in both the pool and the classroom during her second season with the Cardinals. A highlight of the season came at the 2016 NESCAC Championships, when the sophomore set a new varsity record time in the 200-yard breaststroke with a mark of 2:21.96. The time was also good for a NCAA "B" qualifying mark.
Additionally, the men's and women's teams excelled as a whole to garner academic team praise, as the men finished with a 3.35 team GPA and the women recorded a 3.34 team GPA.
