GREENSBORO, N.C. – The Wesleyan women's swimming and diving team took to the pool on the second day of the 2019 NCAA Women's Swimming & Diving Championships. The 400-yard medley relay team (Caroline Murphy, Mengmeng Gibbs, Maela Whitcomb and Grace Middleton) earned All-America Honorable Mention accolades. The relay touched the wall in 3:49.78, which was good for 15th place.
Earlier in the day, the 200-yard freestyle relay team (Murphy, Hannah O'Halloran, Sophia Antonio and Middletown) came in 20th place with a time of 1:36.09. O'Halloran also competed in the 200-yard free, touching the wall in 1:57.94.
The Cardinals are back in action on Friday when second-ranked Murphy will search for a National title in the 100-yard backstroke. O'Halloran will also compete in the event, before she competes as part of the 800-yard freestyle relay with Whitcomb, Middleton and Antonio.
