ROME, Ga. – Wesleyan women's tennis duo Sophie Henderson and Kristina Yu finished runner-up in the 2019 ITA Cup doubles competition, while all six Cardinals earned All-American accolades. This was the third-straight year that the No. 1 Wesleyan women's tennis team qualified for the ITA Cup, as all of its players earned a spot by finishing as finalists in the ITA Regional Championship.

"It was awesome to have so many of our players not only qualify for the ITA Cup, but to play at on the national stage," expressed head coach Mike Fried. "Heading into the spring with six All-Americans and several others competing at this level is very excited. I am proud of how we competed this fall and look forward to seeing where we are next spring."

The ITA Cup features four divisions (DII, DIII, NAIA and JUCO) of collegiate tennis, each playing within their own respective bracket. The champions of each division qualify for the Oracle ITA National Fall Championships, where they all compete in the same tournament as the nation's top Division I players.
