Albany, N.Y. – Wesleyan's Katie Maehl of the women's track and field team was the lone-Cardinal competitor at the Bobbi Palma UAlbany Classic on Thursday and Friday. She placed 8th in the heptathlon over the two-day span, finishing with 3,639 points.
On day one, Maehl's top event was the high jump, compiling 610 points with a height of 1.49m to finish the day in 11th-place. On Friday, Maehl moved up three spots, with solid performances in all three events. She recorded 649 points in the javelin, 583 points in the 800m and 508 points in the long jump.
The rest of the Cardinals are back in action on Saturday, when they host the J. Elmer Swanson Classic.
