MIDDLETOWN, Conn. – The Wesleyan women’s track and field team will travel to Middlebury College for the 2019 NESCAC Men’s & Women’s Track & Field Championships on Saturday, April 28th. The Cardinals will look to move up in the rankings this year, as Williams hopes to defend its title. Last season, the Ephs won their fifth-straight NESCAC Championship and 25th overall with 200 points, while Tufts (115.5 points) and Middlebury (96.5 points) placed second and third, respectively.

HADLEY, Mass. – Ivie Uzamere of the Wesleyan women’s track and field team was named the NESCAC Field Performer of the Week following an outstanding showing this weekend at the Cardinal’s J. Elmer Swanson Classic. Despite being the lone competitor in the hammer, Uzamere broke the school record with a personal best mark of 50.98m. The previous school record was 50.70m and had stood since 2014. Her mark now leads the NESCAC and is ranked seventh in the nation in the event.

Albany, N.Y. – Wesleyan’s Katie Maehl of the women’s track and field team was the lone-Cardinal competitor at the Bobbi Palma UAlbany Classic on Thursday and Friday. She placed 8th in the heptathlon over the two-day span, finishing with 3,639 points.
NEW LONDON, Conn. – The Wesleyan women’s track and field team competed at the Silfen Invitational this weekend, highlighted by five top-10 performances.
AMHERST, Mass. – The Wesleyan women’s track and field team earned a fourth-place finish out of seven teams at the Amherst Spring Fling on Saturday. The team also had two athletes compete at Princeton’s Sam Howell Invitational. The Cardinals are back in action on Saturday when they head to the Connecticut College Invite.
