HADLEY, Mass. – Freshman middle blocker Mia Jago of the Wesleyan University volleyball team was named the NESCAC Player of the Week, as announced Monday by the league office.

Jago was instrumental in Wesleyan's NESCAC-opening weekend as she helped guide the Cardinals to back-to-back wins over Williams (3-1) and Hamilton (3-0), respectively. In a come-from-behind win against the Ephs, Jago hit an incredible .611 with 11 kills and three blocks. The following day, she hit .467 with nine kills and four blocks in a sweep over the Continentals.
The Allentown, Pa. native concluded the week with 20 kills (2.86 per set) and a .545 hitting percentage with seven blocks and four service aces. She currently leads the team through five matches with a .440 attack clip and 12 blocks.
The Cardinals (4-1) have won four straight and will play at Connecticut College on Thursday, Sept. 20 beginning at 7 p.m.
