HADLEY, Mass. – Senior Nicole Hilton of the 24th-ranked Wesleyan volleyball team has been named the NESCAC Player of the Week, as selected by the conference office.

Hilton was instrumental in the Cardinals' 3-0 week which featured road wins over Keene State (3-1), Middlebury (3-0), and Amherst (3-1). The senior outside hitter/middle blocker recorded double-digit kills in each match and averaged 3.55 per set and 0.91 blocks per set with a .370 hitting percentage.
In the win over the Panthers, she totaled 14 kills in three sets with a .524 attack clip. The following day, she registered 13 kills and four blocks with a .303 hitting percentage to help hand Amherst its first NESCAC loss of the season.
The player of the week award is the first this year for Hilton, who was named the NESCAC Player of the Year in 2017. She has played in eight of the team's 17 matches this fall and is averaging 3.07 kills and 1.04 blocks per set with a .337 hitting percentage.
Wesleyan boasts a 15-2 overall record and 6-1 NESCAC mark, and will return to action this Thursday, October 17th. The Cardinals will host Trinity at 7 p.m.
