  • Women’s Cross Country Places Sixth at NCAA Regional, Pinsonault Earns All-New England Honors

    BRUNSWICK, Maine – The Wesleyan women’s cross country team placed sixth out of 54 teams at the NCAA Division III New England Regional on Saturday morning. The Cardinals recorded 263 points, placing all five scoring runners in the top-70. Wesleyan’s sixth-place finish was its best since 2009 when the team recorded a program-best fifth-place finish.
  • Women’s Cross Country Places Sixth at NESCAC Championship

    WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. – The No. 29 Wesleyan women’s cross country team placed sixth out of 11 teams at the 2019 NESCAC Championship on Saturday afternoon. The meet was hosted by Williams, with the 6K course on the grounds of Mount Greylock High School. The No. 4 Ephs won their 17th conference crown with 58 points, placing all five scorers in the top-20. No. 6 Tufts placed second with 90 points, while No. 16 Bates rounded out the top-three with 110 points. The Cardinals placed four runners in the top-40, recording 167 points to earn sixth.

    The NESCAC is brimming with talented student-athletes. The NESCAC "Friday Feature" series is a way for fans to get to know them throughout the academic year. The conference introduces Sara Pinsonault of Wesleyan, a studio art and English major, and a member of the cross country and outdoor track & field teams.
  • No. 29 Wesleyan Heads to Williamstown for NESCAC Championships

    MIDDLETOWN, Conn. - The No. 29 Wesleyan women's cross country team heads to Williamstown, Massachusetts on Saturday for the 2019 NESCAC Championships. The meet is hosted by Williams College and will take place at Mount Greylock High School. The men's 8K race begins at noon, while the women's 6K follows at 1:00 p.m.
  • No. 29 Wesleyan Places Ninth at Connecticut College Invite

    WATERFORD, Conn. – The No. 29 Wesleyan women’s cross country team placed ninth out of 29 teams at the Connecticut College Invite on Saturday. All eight teams ahead of the Cardinals are ranked in the top-34, with seven ranked in the top 20. 
  • No. 26 Cardinals Place 15th in College Brown 6K at Paul Short Run

    BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The No. 26 Wesleyan women’s cross country team placed 15th in a field of 42 in the College Brown 6K at the 46th Annual Paul Short Run. The squad recorded 455 points, placing three in the top-100 in a field of 328 runners. 
  • Four Cardinals Compete at the Purple Valley Classic

    WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. – Four Wesleyan cross country Cardinals competed at the Purple Valley Classic hosted by Williams on Saturday. The group featured two male and two females, all of which raced in their first collegiate 5k.
  • Lopez-Anido Claims Little Three Title

    MIDDLETOWN, Conn. – Wesleyan’s Becky Lopez-Anido claimed the Little Three title, covering the 4k course in 14:53.28 and recording a personal best time. The No. 21 Cardinals placed second overall with 48 points, while Williams claimed its 12th-straight crown with 24 points, placing five runners in the top-10.
