WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. – The No. 29 Wesleyan women's cross country team placed sixth out of 11 teams at the 2019 NESCAC Championship on Saturday afternoon. The meet was hosted by Williams, with the 6K course on the grounds of Mount Greylock High School. The No. 4 Ephs won their 17th conference crown with 58 points, placing all five scorers in the top-20. No. 6 Tufts placed second with 90 points, while No. 16 Bates rounded out the top-three with 110 points. The Cardinals placed four runners in the top-40, recording 167 points to earn sixth.
- Senior Sara Pinsonault was first across the line for the Cardinals, placing 18th with a time of 23:13.6.
- Becky Lopez-Anido placed 27th with a time of 23:32.0, while Sara Greene was close behind (34th), finishing the course in 23:39.8.
- First-year runners Mariah Saunders and Maeve Hoffman rounded out the scorers, crossing the line in 23:48.4 and 23:59.2, respectively.
- Wesleyan is idle until November 16th when it travels to Bowdoin College for the NCAA Regional Championship.
