He serves as the primary contact for all 30 varsity sports at Wesleyan.

With more than 10 combined years working in athletic communication departments at the Div. I level, McNall has a wide array of experience serving as the direct contact for 15 unique sports. In his time at Sacred Heart and Quinnipiac, McNall was instrumental in growing both school’s social media presence with graphic design work and cooperative projects with video staffs. Additionally, he managed all facets of sports information that included national and local media outreach, inputting statistics, in-game live twitter updates, archival duties, production of game notes, programs and media guides, among other duties.

At his most-recent position with Sacred Heart, McNall served as the primary contact for the football program as well as women’s basketball, both (men’s and women’s) lacrosse, cross country, track and field and fencing programs. McNall was also instrumental in building Sacred Heart’s work study student population, serving as the supervisor for a staff of 20 students. With this work study base, McNall helped cultivate responsibilities surrounding individual talents as students were tasked with photography, videography, statistical inputting and archival duties.

McNall got his start in the industry at Quinnipiac, where he served as a work study student within the athletic communications all four years of undergraduate work (2008-12). Upon graduation in 2012, McNall was hired as a graduate assistant within his alma mater’s department for two years (2012-14). In this time, McNall was tasked with primary contact duties for women’s volleyball, women’s ice hockey, softball, cross country and track and field.

Once his graduate assistant term ended, McNall was promoted to an Assistant Director of Athletic Communications at Quinnipiac where he served in that position for more than three years (2014-17). In those three years, McNall kept his duties as the primary contact for cross country and track and field while also moving to women’s soccer, women’s basketball, field hockey and women’s lacrosse. Along with primary sport duties, McNall served as the work study coordinator at Quinnipiac where he helped guide the careers of many successful students who inputted statistics for various sports, including the nationally-ranked men’s ice hockey program.

In the 2016-17 season, McNall engineered content and served as the media relations contact for the Quinnipiac women’s basketball team that advanced to the Sweet 16. In those efforts, McNall was able to facilitate and cultivate stories (both video and written) that appeared on ESPN, Sports Illustrated and the New York Times, in addition to numerous local media affiliates as well as a documentary feature produced by Quinnipiac University communications.

McNall is a 2012 graduate of Quinnipiac, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in print journalism. A native of Vermont, he currently resides in Portland with his wife Avery and two sons - Finley and Hudson.
