WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. - The Wesleyan University women's swimming & diving team dropped a pair of dual meets against Williams College and Connecticut College Saturday afternoon.
The Cardinals were defeated by Williams by a score of 233-60, and fell to the Camels, 206-82.
The highlight of the event for the women were the diving events. The Cardinals placed 2-5 in the 1 meter event and 2-4 in the 3 meter event.
In the 1 meter, freshman Devon Cooper led the way with a second place finish and a score of 351.15. Sophomore Emily Kessler finished in third (339.90), freshman Erin Angell finished fourth (334.35), and senior Carly Feinman placed fifth (286.72). In the 3 meter event, Kessler came in second with a score of 208.27, while Cooper came in third with a score of 205.05. Freshman Erin Angell came finished fourth with a time of 144.75.
The Cardinals placed fifth overall in the 200 yard freestyle relay with a time of 1:44.27. The team was made up of sophomores Zoe Kerrich and Charlotte Pitts, freshman Sophia Antonio and junior Serena Zalkowitz.
Kerrich also placed fourth in the 100 yard breaststroke with a time of 1:10.84.
The Cardinals return to the pool Friday, Jan. 22 and will host Colby, Bowdoin and Trinity at 6 p.m.
