WATERVILLE, Maine – The eighth-ranked Wesleyan University women's tennis team cruised to a 9-0 sweep in NESCAC action Saturday morning, defeating Colby College on the Alfond-Wales Courts.

DOUBLES RESULTS
- The Cardinals swept doubles action, 3-0.
- Eudice Chong '18 and Helen Klass-Warch '18 defeated their opponents Gabriela Venditti and Lydia Venditti by a score of 8-1 in the No. 1 court.
- Victoria Yu '19 and Aashli Budhiraja '18 defeated Aleks Piibe and Maddie Lupone 8-1 in the No. 2 court by a score of 8-0, and Nicole McCann '18 and Maddie James '16 defeated Holly Bogo and Jamie Pine 8-1.
SINGLES RESULTS
- Wesleyan claimed singles play decisively.
- Chong, Yu and Klass-Warch all earned wins from the No. 1, 2 and 3 positions, respectively. Chong defeated her opponent 6-0, 6-3 while Yu claimed a 6-0, 6-0 victory. Klass-Warch was able to defeat Lupone by a score of 6-2, 6-3.
- McCann claimed a singles win in the No. 4 position, defeating Bogo by a 6-2, 6-2 margin.
- Budhiraja was victorious in No. 5 singles, winning by a score of 6-0, 6-2.
- Ella Lindholm-Uzzi '17 took the victory in No. 6 singles as she defeated Katie Ryan, 6-4, 6-2.

- The Cardinals are back on the courts tomorrow, April 24 and will head to No. 15 Tufts University. The match is scheduled to start at 1 p.m.
- Colby completed its regular season with the match.
