The Lead: The Wesleyan University field hockey team dropped its NESCAC opener to No. 1 Bowdoin College by a score of 4-0.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Bowdoin scored all four goals in the first half.
- The Polar Bears opened the game with a Juliana Fiore goal 12:59 into the match.
- Elizabeth Bennewitz scored off her own rebound on a penalty corner to make the score 2-0.
- Kara Finnerty and Kimmy Ganong rounded out the scoring in the game for the visitors.
- Claire Edelman '17 made seven first half saves, while freshman Delaney Wood entered in the second half and made eight saves.

- Wesleyan will return to the field on Wednesday, September 21st as they will host Mount Holyoke for a 7 p.m. contest.
