MIDDLETOWN, Conn. - The 21st-ranked Wesleyan women's squash team hosted No. 30 Vassar, No. 18 Bates, and No. 26 William Smith in round robin play on Saturday. The Cardinals swept Vassar 9-0, fell to Bates 3-6, and defeated William Smith 7-2.
"This was a wonderful day of squash that offered fantastic opportunities for every member of the men's and women's teams to compete," said Head Coach Shona Kerr.
MATCH HIGHLIGHTS VS VASSAR:
- Eight players swept their opponent as the Cardinals cruised to victory.
- Annie Roach and Emma Smith performed remarkably on the day, defeating their opponents by scores of 11-1, 11-1, 11-0 and 11-0, 11-2, 11-1, respectively.
MATCH HIGHLIGHTS VS BATES:
- No. 2 Ananya Vir won her match against Katherine Manternach by scores of 11-5, 11-4, 4-11, 11-4.
- No. 6 Nina Premutico defeated Samantha Henderson by scores of 11-3, 11-3, 11-3.
MATCH HIGHLIGHTS VS WILLIAM SMITH:
- No. 3 Josie Russ defeated Djeneba Ballo by scores of 11-9, 11-6, 11-2.
- No. 4 Natasha Feenstra swept Molly Wachter by scores of 11-3, 11-2, 11-4.
