MIDDLETOWN, Conn.—Wesleyan's women cruised past Connecticut College on Wednesday afternoon, topping the Camels 9-0 in a match that was all Cardinals from start to finish. The win brings the #7 Cards' record to 6-1 this season, with a perfect 2-0 start in home matches as NESCAC play begins to ramp up over the next month.

Due to academic obligations, Wesleyan had to put together some new doubles teams for the match. At #1, senior Victoria Yu joined forces with freshman Alexis Almy for the first time, looking great in an 8-2 victory.

At #2, sophomore Polina Kiseleva and freshman Venia Yeung continued their strong run of form, dominating in an 8-1 win.

Sophomore Daniela Alvarez and freshman Megan Tran also joined forces for the first time in a dual match, but didn't skip a beat, coming away as 8-3 winners.

A big weekend awaits for the Cardinals, starting with a showdown in Middletown with #12 Bowdoin on Saturday at 10 AM. The next day, Wesleyan will make the trip to Boston for another key NESCAC matchup when they take on #8 Tufts Sunday at 3:00 PM.
