NEW YORK CITY, New York – The Wesleyan University men's and women's track and field teams competed in the Last Chance Meet on Friday. The men claimed three top-five finishes while the women claimed four top-five finishes.

MEN'S HIGHLIGHTS:

• Tommy Doyle finished fourth in the 3000m with a time of 8:52.25.
• Bill Bajohr placed fifth in the 1000m with a time of 2:39.92.
• Nick Helbig secured fifth place in the shot put, throwing for 13.31m.
• Christian Denny placed eighth in the 60m, finishing in 7.05.
• Kevin DeLoughry and Kyron Roberts finished seventh and ninth in the 400m with times of 50.38 and 50.55, respectively.

WOMEN'S HIGHLIGHTS:

• Ivie Uzamere won the weight throw with a distance of 17.21m.
• Gabby Harris placed third in the 60m, finishing in 8.38.
• Grace Devanny finished fourth in the 400m with a time of 57.32.
• Sophie Scobell secured fourth place in the 1000m with a time of 3:14.43.
• Sara Pinsonault and Miranda Graves placed sixth and seventh in the 3000m with times of 10:52.23 and 10:53.17, respectively.

• The Cardinals will compete in the New England Division III Championship on Feb. 28 and 29 in Springfield, Mass.
