The Wesleyan Student-Athlete of Color Leadership Council (SACLC), in alliance with members of the Wesleyan athletic administration, aims to build a safe, more diverse environment, which will enhance the athletic experiences of student-athletes of color throughout all Cardinals' sports teams. Programs and services are developed with the intention of implementing a system that establishes a social network amongst athletes of color, promotes solidarity, and encourages discourse, in an attempt to alleviate the disadvantages associated with being an athlete of color. These are the fundamental components necessary to effectively diversify Wesleyan Athletics and further embody the values of a liberal arts college.
