Men’s Tennis Falls to Williams, 8-1, in Season Opener

Box Score MIDDLETOWN, Conn. – In their return to action after over a year without a competitive match, the Wesleyan men's tennis team dropped an 8-1 decision at home to Williams on Saturday afternoon.

  • The Cardinals' lone point on the day came at No. 1 doubles where Ben Mitchell '24 and Noah Lilienthal '22 teamed up to defeat the Ephs' senior pairing of Calvin Chung and Arturo Kam, 8-5
  • Williams won all six singles points in straight sets. Mitchell '24 performed best for the Cardinals, falling by a close 7-5 decision in the first set to Chung before losing the second set 6-3
