MIDDLETOWN, Conn. – The Wesleyan men's squash team dropped a 7-2 decision to Bowdoin on Sunday afternoon from the Rosenbaum Squash Center. The Cardinals sit at 0-3 on the season after the first weekend of competitive play.
The Cardinals again dominated at the bottom of the lineup, with
Zach Idinopulos '26 and
Morgan Shatzman '25 recording wins at #8 and #9, respectively. Idinopulos took down Luc Agudelo 11-8, 12-10, 11-6 while Shatzman defeated Edwardo Perez in four sets 11-4, 11-6, 6-11, 11-9.
Wesleyan nearly picked another point as
Ethan Yan '25 challenged Aryan Singh at #5, with the match going the full fix sets before Singh dispatched Yan in 11-8 in the deciding set.
Nimai Kini '26 (#1),
John Sutherby '23 (#3) and
Shanay Sanghavi '23 (#4) each picked up a set victory in their respective matches but all were defeated by their Polar Bear counterpart.
Wesleyan has two weeks before their next competition which will be a trip to Vassar to participate in three matches against Middlebury, Hobart, and Vassar on December 3-4.
