Women’s Hockey Takes Down Trinity 2-0 on Senior Day

Wesleyan ends the regular season with their 4th conference win

MIDDLETOWN, CT- Women's hockey takes down Trinity 2-0 on Senior Day to end the regular season Saturday afternoon. After a relatively quiet first period from both sides, Wesleyan finally opened up the scoring midway through the 2nd. Wesleyan controlled the game the rest of the way, with a stellar defensive effort anchored by a shutout by Rei Halloran '23. It only seemed fitting that two seniors connected on an empty net goal in the final minute to put the game away when Audrey McMahon '22 took the puck away and found Cali Stevens '22 to end Trinity's comeback hopes.

  • Midway through the 2nd Wesleyan broke the seal. Effie Tournas '25 made a long outlet pass from one blue line to the other that found the stick of Cali Stevens who was turned away at short range, however Audrey McMahon was there to clean up the rebound to give the Cardinals a 1-0 lead
