MIDDLETOWN, Conn. - The Wesleyan football team saw eight players named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team, as announced by the organization on Tuesday afternoon.
Wesleyan's eight honorees includes
Wesley Abraham '25,
Jake Edwards '24,
Justin Lockwood '24,
Declan Welch '26,
Pat Boujoukos '24,
Matt Luttenberger '24,
Jack Nally '24, and
Sean Walker '25. This is the second time that Edwards and Nally have been named Academic All-District in their careers while the remaining six earn the award for the first time in their respective careers.
To make the Academic All-District Team, players must be in their sophomore year or above academically, own a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.5, and have either started at least 66.7 percent of the team's games or appeeared in at least 90 percent. Individuals named to the Academic All-District Team advance to the CSC Academic All-America ballot, which will be announced on January 23.
