WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. – Competing against the top-ranked team in the nation, the Wesleyan women's squash team was defeated 9-0 by an undefeated Trinity Bantams squad in the NESCAC Quarterfinal round on Saturday morning.
Wesleyan (7-10) gave the Bantams (14-0) a competitive match on several courts as
Laila Kewalramani '24,
Jaclyn Dichter '26, and
Leandra Sze '26 forced games into extra points in their respective matches. Kewalramani won 18 total points in her match against Kara Lincou at #5, taking the first game into extra points before falling 12-10, 11-6, 11-2. Dichter won the most points of any Cardinal on the day, winning 22 points off Fabiola Cabello at #6 including a 13-11 defeat in the third game. Sze won 20 points in her match at #8 against Lily Taylor-French in a 11-6, 13-11, 11-3 loss.
The Cardinals will compete in the National Team Tournament next weekend with competition set for February 17-19.
