WATERVILLE, ME. – The Wesleyan men's soccer team opened NESCAC play in a 0-0 draw against Colby College on Saturday afternoon from Serdjenian Field as the men are now 1-0-1 overall and 0-0-1 in the NESCAC.
The Cardinals had plenty of opportunity to post points as they outshot the Mules 13-4, with most of those shots coming in the second half.
Kyle Burbage '25, who led the team with three shots on goal, had an attempt from the midfield saved in the first half before taking another two attempts at a tally in the second half.
Dylan Clack '27, after bringing the ball in from the midfield, took a chance from outside the top of the box for the best scoring opportunity for the Cardinals in the game. Later,
Joshwin Jennings '27, covered by three Mules at the box, managed to step up and out to recover possession before setting up another scoring attempt on the Mules.

Mathis Blanc '26, made one save and has allowed zero goals through 180 minutes. McCarthy was forced to make three saves on three shots.
The Cardinals return to the field on Wednesday, Sept. 15, for a 7 p.m. NESCAC matchup at Tufts University.
