CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The Wesleyan women's squash team made quick work of Tuesday night's match against Mount Holyoke as the Cardinals defeated the Lyons 9-0 in a neutral site match played at MIT. Wesleyan (6-4) improves to 4-1 in their last five matches while Mount Holyoke (1-4) is winless in their last four.
It was one-way traffic all night as the Cardinals won all nine matches by a 3-0 score line and in 15 minutes or less.
Leandra Sze '26 dropped just one total point in an almost perfect 11-0, 11-1, 11-0 win over Amelia Arthur at #7 while
Mira Bakshi '26 dropped just two total points in a 11-0, 11-1, 11-1 win at #1 over Sachary Rodriguez.
Aanya Anand '26 won 11-0, 11-2, 11-2 at #4 while
Portia Pliam '25 also lost just four points in a 11-2, 11-2, 11-0 victory at #8.
Avika Pande '26 defeated Ku Paw at #2 (11-2, 11-0, 11-4),
Penelope Furnas '27 triumphed over Tina Mei at #3 (11-4, 11-0, 11-2), and
Jaclyn Dichter '26 won easily at #5 over Baya Jaiswal (11-2, 11-0, 11-4).
Laila Kewalramani '24 took down Lara Gao at #6 (11-5, 11-1, 11-1) and
Marangela James '24 defeated Claire Murry at #9 (11-2, 11-1, 11-2) to complete the scoring for the Cardinals on the night.
Wesleyan has three matches this weekend starting with a trip to Hamilton where the Cardinals face William Smith on Friday at 3 PM in a neutral site match followed by a Saturday showdown against the Continentals at 11 AM.
