BOSTON, Mass. –
Stephanie Ager '26 and
Juliette Sullivan '27 led the Wesleyan women's track & field team, who traveled to The Track at New Balance on Sunday in the Middlebury New England Small College Invite (NESCI).
Ager shined in the 3000m, besting her previous personal-best in the event by more than five seconds, as she finished in 10:17.38 to earn a second place finish out of 22 competitors.
Sullivan was busy in the sprint events, earning second place and tying her personal-best time at 7.91 seconds in the 60m. Her time was just 0.01 seconds behind the winner, Rachel Arthur of Williams. Sullivan followed that up with a time of 26.22 seconds in the 200m, good enough for ninth place out of 60 sprinters.
Another Top 10 finisher on the day was
Elanora Smith '27 in the 800m as the first-year clocked in at 2:21.10 to take sixth place out of 46.
Margaret Stevens '27 earned an 11
th place finish in the mile, crossing the line in 5:18.83.
Sophia Mack '26 placed 15
th in the 400m (1:01.75),
The Cardinals are back in action on Friday and Saturday next weekend with a trip to Tufts for the Cupid Invite.
