MIDDLETOWN, Conn. - Junior defensive back
Dylan Connors of the Wesleyan football team has earned NESCAC Defensive Player of the Week honors, as announced by the league office on Monday afternoon. This is Connors' second POW award this season, having won Special Teams Player of the Week in Week 1, and third of his career.
Connors
 helped the Cardinal defense limit Hamilton to just seven points in a 19-7 road win, while keeping the Continentals scoreless for the final 51+ minutes of play. Connors racked up nine tackles (seven solo) to lead the team including two tackles for loss, one sack for nine yards, and two pass breakups. The sack is the first in Connors' career while his five pass breakups this season is tied for the most of any player in the NESCAC.
Wesleyan (3-1) is back in action on Saturday for a Week 5 showdown against Colby at 1 PM.
