PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Wesleyan men's squash team opened the 2024-25 campaign with a 5-4 win at Brown on Saturday afternoon.
The Cardinals got wins from the #2, #3, #5, #6, and #7 positions to edge the Bears in a one-point win.
Jack Lungstrum '25 and
Sumer Singh Ahluwalia '27 opened the proceedings with convincing 3-0 wins from #5 and #7, respectively.
Morgan Shatzman '25 followed with a win at #6 over Griffin Taylor.
Dhairya Shah '27 pushed the Cardinals one point away from a match victory as he claimed a 3-0 (11-8, 11-7, 14-12) win at #2 over Dawson Lin.
Ethan Yan '25 closed the door on a Wesleyan win as he won in four games (11-8, 11-7, 11-13, 11-3) at #3 over Tim Cassidy to seal the victory.
Wesleyan hits the road again on Sunday with a 10 AM match against Vassar in Poughkeepsie.
