MIDDLETOWN, Conn. – The Wesleyan men's squash team used convincing wins from the #2 through #5 spots in the lineup to lead the way in an 8-1 win over Bard on Saturday from the Rosenbaum Squash Center. With the win, the Cardinals remain undefeated at 3-0 on the season.
Competing for the first time at home, Wesleyan had the benefit of claiming wins by defeat in the #6, #7, #8, and #9 positions, therefore needing just one win to capture the overall match victory.
Once play began, it took all of seven minutes for
Jack Lungstrum '25 to defeat Yashar Khan 11-1, 11-1, 11-0 at #4, claiming the match-clinching point for Wesleyan.
Morgan Shatzman '25 took just one minute longer to defeat Dominic Taormina in a perfect 11-0, 11-0, 11-0 triumph at #5.
Ethan Yan '25 picked up a 11-0, 11-1, 11-1 win at #3 over George Miahkov before
Dhairya Shah '27 claimed a 11-1, 11-1, 11-1 win at #2 to make it 8-0 Wesleyan.
Bard's Artemy Mukhin picked up the lone win on the day for the Raptors as he defeated
Abhinav Gupta '25 in four games at #1.
Wesleyan is back at home on Sunday with a Noon start against Fordham.
