MIDDLETOWN, CT. – The Wesleyan women's field hockey team placed eight student-athletes on the 2023 National Field Hockey Coaches Association Division III National Academic Squad, announced by the NFHCA last week.
Ava Galdenzi '24 and
Georgia Adams '26 each were awarded the NFHCA Scholar of Distinction honor, an award given to student-athletes who have achieved a grade point average of 3.9 or higher through the fall semester of the 2023-24 academic year. This is Galdenzi's third consecutive year winning this award, earning the honor during the 2021-22 and 2022-23 academic year as well.

In order to achieve status on the National Academic Squad, each student-athlete must have achieved a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher throughout the first semester of the 2023-24 academic year. The Cardinals who achieved this were:
