MEDFORD, Mass. –
Fiona Carroll '25 broke her own school record in the pole vault, leading the way for the Wesleyan women's track & field team at the Tufts Cupid Challenge this weekend.
Carroll's previous school record of 10' 11" was bested on Saturday as the junior posted a mark of 11' 1.75" (3.40m), finishing seventh out of 23 in the event.
Juliette Sullivan '27 continues to turn in great results in the sprint events, posting a time of 1:00.88 in her first career 400m appearance (non-relay). Her time of 1:00.88 was good enough for fourth place out of 34 in the event.
Sophia Mack '26 also competed in the 400m and placed eighth, crossing the line in 1:01.78.
Kate Hausladen '23 and
Margaret Stevens '27 also posted Top 10 finishes at Tufts, with Hausladen placing 10
th in the 600m (1:44.13) while Stevens was 10
th-best in the 3000m (10:46.80).
Wesleyan's 4x200m relay team of Mack, Sullivan,
Imagen Walters '26, and
Rachel Masterson '26 posted the fastest time on the season in the event for the Cardinals at 1:49.28.
The Cardinals are back in action next weekend at the Ocean Breeze Invite in Staten Island on February 9-10.
