Stephanie Ager '26 placed 15
th in the 10,000m on Thursday night at the Doug Shaw Memorial Stadium. By way of her Top 16 finish, Ager earns Second Team All-American honors as those placing 9
th through 16
th in any event at the NCAA Championships earns that individual distinction.
Ager opened the race on a ferocious pace, as she was fourth-fastest after the first 400m and kept pace, running in the sixth position more than halfway through the event. Ager continued to battle for positioning and after a final 400m lap time of 1:26.31, she finished the event in 15
th place with a time of 36:47.88. Ager's time was 15
th-fastest overall and third-fastest among underclassmen competing in the event.
The All-American nod caps an incredible campaign for Ager who broke the school record time in the event on two separate occasions during the season. The record, previously held by Ellen Davis '07 for 17+ years, was first broken in a driving rainstorm with 40 degree temperatures on March 23 as Ager ran the event in 35:57.22. She then beat her own school record in the event at the NESCAC Championships, winning the 10k with a time of 35:24.21 that bested the runner-up by more than a second.
