Box Score MEDFORD, MA. – In their first fall outing of the 2024-25 season, the Wesleyan men's tennis team took several deep runs over the weekend, reaching the semifinals twice, as they competed at the ITA New England Regional tournament hosted by Tufts University and MIT from Tufts' Voute Courts.

Paired for the doubles flight, Max Litton '26 and Max Lustgarten '25 made their way to the semifinal round with several wins over NESCAC opponents. The pair fell in the semifinal round to Tufts' Alex Ganchev and Sacha Maes in a 8-4 final that ended their weekend run. In the regional quarterfinal, Litton and Lustgarten defeated Noah Laber and Thehan Wejimanne of Middlebury as they pulled a 8-6 victory.

Beating out MIT's Adam Sun and Joseph Li, 8-5, Litton and Lustgarten were joined in the Round of 16 by JT Bilski '26 and Harry Collomb '26 who fell 8-7(2) to Theo Sardain and Phillippe Kosyagin out of Bates.

Brett Keeling '27 started the Singles B Draw with a bye in the first round on his way to the semifinal. Keeling was defeated in NESCAC action, 6-1, 6-3, to Andrej Djokic from Tufts. In the quarterfinal, Keeling came away with a win over Trinity's Axel Edstrom, 5-7, 2-1 as Edstrom retired from the match. Keeling also picked a win over Bowdoin's Jack Pollock, 8-3 in the Round of 16.

Bilksi charged his own run in the Single A draw, reaching the quarterfinal round of the flight. Bilski was defeated by Middlebury's Neel Epstein after a third set tiebreaker, 6-0, 3-6, 7-6 (4). In the Round of 16, Bilski took a 6-2, 1-6, 7-6 (8-6), win over Derin Acaroglu from Tufts. Bilski's Round of 32 win over Adam Sun from MIT came with a 3-6, 7-6 (4), 6-2 final score.

The Cardinals return to action on Saturday, Oct. 5, and Sunday, Oct. 6, when they host the Cardinal Invitational at the John Wood Memorial Courts.
