MIDDLETOWN, Conn. – The Wesleyan men's squash team was defeated by No. 18 Navy in a 9-0 sweep from the Rosenbaum Squash Center on Saturday morning. Wesleyan drops to 6-3 with the loss while the Midshipmen improve to 13-6.
Dhairya Shah '27 had the best match for the Cardinals, taking one game from Wenqing Tang at #2 in a match that lasted 33 minutes. Shah won the third game 11-4 in a match he lost 6-11, 5-11, 11-4, 1-11.
Preston Crawford '25 also won a game in his match at #4 against Lucas Spiro, earning a 11-8 win in the second game, in a match he lost 1-11, 11-8, 8-11, 3-11.
Abhinav Gupta '25 was won 19 total points in a match that lasted 34 minutes at #1 against Matthew Wang while
Morgan Shatzman '25 won 20 points in a 7-11, 9-11, 4-11 loss to Ramsay Killinger at #6.
Wesleyan closes out the home weekend with a 10 AM match on Sunday against Denison.
