CANTON, N.Y. - Making the most of a sunny Saturday morning, the Wesleyan men's cross country team earned a Top 5 finish at the NCAA Mideast Regional Championship, placing fourth of 26 competing institutions, led by
Dylan Cote '28 and
Noah Mahoney '27 with Top 10 finishes as four finished with All-Region honors.
HIGHLIGHTS:
- All-Region honors go to the Top 35 runners to cross the finish line while All-New England awards go to the Top 20 runners from New England area institutions.
- Placing fourth with 109 points, the Cardinals tied their best finish to date with 2024's fourth-place finish, finishing behind RPI, Williams, and Middlebury. Amherst rounded out the Top 5.
- Earning his second career All-Region honors, Dylan Cote was the front runner for the Cardinals, placing fifth of 179 runners. Cote crossed the finish line at 25:17.5 and took home his second All-New England honors.
- Noah Mahoney takes home this third All-Region and All-New England awards, placing ninth with a 25:22.3 final time.
- Placing 18th, Alex Kermath '26 becomes a two-time All-Region and All-New England selection. Kermath finished just 11 seconds behind Mahoney, clocking in at 25:33.3.
- The final All-Region finish for the Cardinals was Liam Calhoun '26. Calhoun earns his third career regional honors with a finish at 35th, running a final time of 25:56.7.
The Cardinals await selection to the 2025 NCAA Division III Championship race on Saturday, Nov. 22.
