HARTFORD, CT. – Entering the NESCAC tournament as the No. 8 seed, the Wesleyan women's squash team was swept 9-0 by No. 1 Trinity College on Saturday afternoon in the quarterfinal round from Trinity's George Kellner Squash Courts.
Marking just their second loss in a sweep this season, the Cardinals were unable to get even a game win under their belt as the Bantams took a 3-0 torch to all nine matches.
Jaclyn Dichter '26 took her first game against Janna Ashmawy at #4 down to the wire, but ultimately Ashmawy came out on top with an 11-9 tally before winning games two and three for the match win.
Despite the loss, the Cardinals will have a chance to regroup and battle it out with Williams on Sunday, Feb. 16, beginning at 10 a.m. at home.
