MEDFORD, MA. – Facing the first sweep defeat of the season, the Wesleyan men's tennis team fell in NESCAC action on Saturday afternoon to No. 2 Tufts University in a 7-0 loss from the Gantcher Center.
While the Jumbos (14-1 overall, 6-0 NESCAC) managed to snag the 7-0 win over the Cardinals (7-4 overall, 3-3 NESCAC), the team did not win all nine matches. The Jumbos, while earning the doubles point early in the matched, dropped the No. 2 doubles matchup to the Cardinals.

Chase Kasday '26 went toe-to-toe with Derin Acaroglu and Lachie Macintosh, picking up a 6-4 win.
Featuring at No. 2 in the lineup,
Max Lustgarten '25 was the holdout of the match as he was forced to a third set tiebreak with Javier Gonzalez. Lustgarten won set one and took the early lead, but Gonzalez powered back to tie the match. Gonzalez ultimately won the match, finishing with the 6-1, 4-6, 0-1 (10-7) final score.
The Cardinals return to action on Sunday, April 13, when they face Bates on the road beginning at 2 p.m.
