NEW LONDON, CT. – Earning the program's 12
th straight win of the season, the Wesleyan women's tennis team put on another standout performance against Connecticut College in a 6-1 NESCAC victory on Sunday afternoon from Conn.'s Luce Field House.
Ranked second in the NESCAC at 5-0, the 12-1 Cardinals were led once again by
Lane Durkin '27 with a win at doubles and singles. Durkin remains undefeated in singles play, running 13 wins in a row at No. 2 and No. 3. Facing the Camels (5-7 overall, 1-4 NESCAC) for the first time this season, the Cardinals rolled Durkin at No. 2 in a hard-fought match that saw Durkin topple Evin Cosar in a 7-5, 6-3 final.

Sarah Youngberg '26 fell into a matchup with Maya Kowalska at No. 3, walking away with a point for the Cardinals in 6-3, 6-2 match final. At No. 1,
Jackie Soloveychik '27 dropped just one point, earning a set one sweep over Caitlin Cass before a 6-0, 6-1 final score closed the match.
Natalia Leroy '28 defeated MaryElla Prendergast 6-2, 6-2 at No. 4 after a win with Soloveychik in doubles. Facing Asashi Goods at No. 6,
Lucinda Gatsiounis '28 worked her way to a 6-2, 6-2 victory over Goods.
At No. 5,
Alexandra Burnett forced Lily Kerachsky to several tiebreakers, rallying to a 6-1 win in set two after Kerachsky took a one-set lead. Kerachsky would ultimately win set three and the match in another tiebreak, 6-7 (4-7), 6-1, 0-1 (8-10).
At No. 1 doubles, Durkin and Youngberg defeated Cosar and Kowalski 6-2. Soloveychik and Leroy went 6-2 over Prendergast and Cass at No. 2. And the No. 3 pairing of Burnett and Gatsiounis pulled a third 6-2 win over Sana Bhat and Marylove Reynolds.
The Cardinals return to action on Saturday, April 12, when they head to No. 7 Tufts for a 10 a.m. start.
