MIDDLETOWN, CT. – The Wesleyan men's squash team capped the Wesleyan Round Robin with a 5-4 victory over Denison University on Sunday morning, running a 2-0 campaign over the weekend to extend the team's overall record to 6-5. Denison falls to 5-5.

With successes down the line, the Cardinals saw three freshmen complete 3-0 sweeps. Facing Ross Falcon at #5,
Zach Lu '29 was forced to extra points in the opening set, running 14-12 before he secured the win with 11-5, 11-8 victories.
Matthyaz Williams '29 was also taken to extra points in his opening set at #6, running 13-11, 11-5, 11-8 with Jackson Bragman. Rounding out the lineup,
Finn Goodson '29 defeated Owen Mullaly, 11-8, 11-9, 11-6 at #9.
Running a 3-1 win over Wylly Molten,
Sumer Singh Ahluwalia '27 took an initial lead before Molten tied the game up at one. Ahluwalia finished the match 11-7, 9-11, 11-4, 12-10 at #8.
Zack Idinopulos '26 forced his match at #7 to five sets, falling to Aimaan Zakaria through set one as he rallied two set wins in a row to take the lead. Idinopulos won the tiebreaker with 7-11, 11-8, 11-7, 5-11, 11-5 victories for a 3-2 match win.
The Cardinals return to action on Friday, Jan. 23, for the opening rounds of the College Squash Association Individual Championships.
