MIDDLETOWN, Conn. – The Wesleyan women's swimming & diving team celebrated Senior Day in a big way as the Cardinals won 11 events to roll past Conn. College in a 179-112 win on Saturday from the Webster Family Natatorium. Wesleyan finishes the dual match portion of the schedule with a 5-5 record while the Camels finish the season 1-6.
Sara Bohacek '26 was the top performer on the day for the Cardinals, landing three first place finishes in individual events while she also contributed to a win in the 200 medley relay, totaling four first place finishes.
Zoe Kuhn '26 totaled three first place results while
Ella Hall '28 swept the diving events and
Mia Dezelic '27 landed two first place finishes and a pair of runner-up results.
- Wesleyan opened with a 1:47.62 in the 200 medley to capture their first win on the day with Dezelic, Bohacek, Anne Conway '26, and Kuhn all factoring for the Cardinals
- The Cardinals closed the afternoon with a win in the 400 free relay as the team of Charlotte Fishman '29, James LaCroix '27, Conway, and Kuhn clocked in at 3:40.76
- Kuhn won the 50 free by just 0.05 seconds, legging out her teammate LaCroix with a time of 24.72 seconds
- LaCroix flipped the script in the 100 free, capturing first place with a time of 54.21 seconds, finishing ahead of the runner-up in Kuhn (54.89) and Fishman (55.74) in third place
- Dezelic dominated the 200 back, winning by 2.02 seconds, touching the wall in 2:08.03
- Bohacek claimed her first of three individual events wins with a 1:07.58 in the 100 breast, followed by a season-best time of 2:30.34 in the 200 breast, and she closed the day off with a win in the 100 IM, clocking in at 1:01.01
- Wesleyan dominated the 100 IM with Bohacek winning followed by Dezelic (1:01.38) in second place and Conway (1:01.55) in third
- Hall landed wins in both the 1-meter (233.80) and 3-meter (195.25) diving competitions
- Elena Baird '26 won the 200 fly on Senior Day with a time of 2:15.11
- Among the runner-up finishes on the day included Dezelic in the 200 free (1:59.80), Keira Walsh '26 in the 500 free (5:22.85), Baird in the 1000 free (11:06.97) and 100 back (1:00.82), Sadie Woodruff '26 (1:09.21) in the 100 breast, and Fishman in the 100 fly (1:00.74)
Wesleyan looks ahead to the 2026 NESCAC Championships on Feb. 12 through 15 which will be held in the Webster Family Natatorium.
