No. 29 Men’s Squash Victorious over No. 23 Dickinson, 6-3

MIDDLETOWN, CT. - Returning from the road for the first home match of the year, the 29th ranked Wesleyan men's squash team played host to No. 23 Dickinson College on Thursday afternoon, recording a 6-3 victory at the Rosenbaum Squash Center to snap a four-game streak of losses. Wesleyan advances to 3-4 as Dickinson falls to 2-6.

RESULTS

HIGHLIGHTS:
  • Down the stretch, the Cardinals saw four earn 3-0 sweeps of their opponents. Taking just 17 minutes to sweep at #10, Ronan Cheng-Slater '29 went 11-4, 11-4, 11-3 over Fabrizio Nunez Ortiz.
  • Down one after game one, Zachary Lu '29 rallied three games in a row to take home the 3-1 victory at #5 over Menghou Du with 9-11, 11-5, 11-5, 12-10 final tallies.
  • Facing a 2-0 deficit at #7, Zach Idinopulos '26 was responsible for three straight victories over James Kiracofe in a 57-minute match to finish with the 3-2 win. Falling 4-11, 8-11, Idinopulos went 11-5, 11-3, 11-7.
The Cardinals return to action on Saturday, Jan. 10, when they travel to Hamilton with action beginning at 1 p.m.
