SPRINGFIELD, MA. - The Wesleyan women's track and field team had a strong showing at the Springfield College Triangle Classic over the weekend, earning several top times as
Sydni Chandler '29 broke her own 60m hurdle record.

HIGHLIGHTS
- Sydni Chandler was once again the highlight of the weekend as she broke her own school record in the women's 60m hurdles. Chandler's new school record of 9.23 is the sixth broken record in the event for the freshmen, beating her previous time of 9.31 by eight seconds. Chandler placed fourth.
- Running the 1000m, Mia Vientos '28 placed second as she crossed the finish line at 3:07.77.
- Third place in the 800m went to Jane Kakalec '26, clocking a final time of 2:25.65.
- Audrey Leff '29 was also a third-place finish in the mile following a run time of 5:38.67.
- Earning third in the 3000m, Nadia Lim '26 finished the weekend with a time of 10:41.38.
- Finishing at a distance of 5.05m, Alyssa Fix '29 placed sixth in the long jump.
- Another sixth-place finish was awarded to Naomi McGadney '27 in the shot put with an 11.15m distance.
The Cardinals will take a week to prepare for the New England Division III Championships on Sunday, March 1.
