HILTON HEAD ISLAND, S.C. - The Wesleyan women's tennis team concludes the 2026 Spring Break trip with another victory over a Top 10 ranked program as they defeat No. 9 Babson College 4-2 on Tuesday afternoon as they advance to 7-2 on the season.
The Cardinals put on another stellar performance, clinching an early doubles point with wins at No. 2 and No. 3.
Agnes Guggenheim '29 and
Lara Afolayanka '29 defeated Dana Kamal and Alessandra Cristiani in a 7-6 final before
Kendall Smith '29 and
Mariia Kornilova '29 cleared Sarai Dorismond and Mia Sorrentino, 6-2.
At No. 3, Afolayanka faced Dorismond in a 7-5, 7-5 fight that tilted Afolayanka's favor. Matched at No. 5, Kornilova notched a point for the Cardinals against Cristiani in a 7-5, 6-2 final.
Running three sets at No. 4,
Natalia Leroy '28 rallied two set wins in a row after falling to Tina Liu in set one. Leroy's tiebreak win finished 3-6, 6-3, 7-6.
The Cardinals return home to face Trinity on Wednesday, March 25, at 4:30 p.m.
