MIDDLETOWN, Conn. – The Wesleyan University winter season varsity teams put a total of 138 student-athletes on the 2025-26 NESCAC Winter All-Academic Team. Williams ranks first in the conference with 190 student-athletes on the All-Academic list, Middlebury is second with 176. Wesleyan has the eighth-most All-Academic honorees in the conference.
In order to earn a spot on the All-Academic Team, a student-athlete must have reached sophomore academic standing and be a varsity letter winner with a minimum grade point average (GPA) of 3.50 or equivalent on a 4.0 scale. Transfer students are eligible as long as they have completed at least one year of study at the institution.
The Cardinals were led by the men's indoor track & field program with 24 honorees followed by men's hockey (23), women's indoor track & field (22), women's swimming & diving (14), women's ice hockey (13), wrestling (13), men's basketball (8), women's squash (8), women's basketball (6), men's squash (5), and men's swimming & diving (2), which made up the 138 honorees.
There are three student-athletes - Olivia Quinn '26 (women's basketball), Sam Pohlman '26 (men's basketball), and Zach Wolinski '28 (men's basketball) - who are All-Academic and All-NESCAC selections.
Representing Wesleyan on the NESCAC All-Sportsmanship Team are: Alex Justh '26 (men's basketball), Aviva Schnitzer '28 (women's basketball), Jack Marottolo '26 (men's hockey), Sam Galanek '26 (women's hockey), Zack Idinopulos '26 (men's squash), Leandra Sze '26 (women's squash), Leo Zhang '28 (men's swimming & diving), and Summer DeWitt '29 (women's swimming & diving).
