WILLIAMSTOWN, MA. – Facing a field made entirely of conference peers, the Wesleyan women's track and field team competed in the 2026 NESCAC Track and Field Championship, placing 11
th. The two-day event, hosted by Williams College saw Wesleyan field nine Top 10 finishes.
RESULTS
HIGHLIGHTS:
- Tufts won the 2026 NESCAC title, securing 152.5 points. Making out the Top 5, Williams (135) followed along with Amherst (131), Middlebury (124), and Bates (68.5). The remainder of the field fell Conn. (53), Bowdoin (48), Trinity (41), Hamilton (30), Colby (22), and Wesleyan (14).
- Continuing to dominate the sprint events following her performance at the indoor national championship, Juliette Sullivan '27 rose the occasion again and led the Cardinals with a fifth-place finish in the 200m dash. Sullivan crossed the finish line with a 25.01. Earlier in the day, Sullivan ran the 100m, catching the line with a final time of 12.40.
- Leading through the distance races, Kaitlyn Connors '29 placed sixth in the 5000m, running a 17:25.59.
- A superstar for the Cardinals in the 3000m steeplechase, Alexandra Simon '27 ran an 11:20.99 to earn seventh place.
- Placing eighth in the 100m hurdles, Sydni Chandler '29 reached the finals and ran a 15.56 to take eighth place.
- In the women's javelin throw, Naomi McGadney '27 placed ninth, throwing for a distance of 33.69m.
- The women's 4x100m relay team consisting of Alex Neubert '29, Amelia Goettsch '29, Sophia Mack '26, and Sullivan placed eighth with a combined time of 48.37.
- Elanora Smith '27, Ellie Green '28, Genevieve Minard '28, and Stella Loezos '27 made the 4x800m relay team and placed eighth while running a collective 8:35.71.
- Ninth place in the 4x400m relay went to Goettsch, Mack, Sullivan and Alyssa Fix '29 as the clocked time at the line read 4:03.08.
The Cardinals will take the week to prepare for the New England DIII Championships beginning May 1, at Springfield College.
